A bus travelling from Maharashtra's Jalgaon district to Boisar in Palghar, fell into a roadside gorge near Waghoba Ghat on Friday, leaving 15 injured.
At least 15 passengers were injured after the bus that they were travelling on fell into a roadside gorge near Waghoba Ghat in Palghar district, Maharashtra.
The accident took place on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway early on Friday, leaving several injured. Of the injured, five people have sustained serious injuries.
While the injured have been shifted to a hospital for treatment, it is alleged that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol when the accident took place. It is alleged that the driver drove the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner.
The accident reportedly occurred when the driver failed to notice a sharp curve, following which the bus overturned and fell into the gorge.
