It's been 14 days but the people of Karnataka are yet to get money from funds sanctioned under the Covid-relief package. Reeling from Covid-induced lockdown, auto, taxi drivers, tailors, and street vendors demand an answer from the government.
The Karnataka government had announced a Covid-relief package of Rs 1,250 crore for people in need on May 19. These included farmers, auto and cab drivers, construction workers, artists and workers in the unorganised sector. But 14 days later, many are yet to get any relief from the government of Karnataka. The lockdown, which was initiated by the state to control the surge in Covid cases, has helped to a large extent. Cases that touched an all-time high of over 50,000 cases on a single day are now down to around 16,000.More Related News
