11 Nigerians living in Delhi without valid visa detained, to be deported

Continuing to crackdown on foreign nationals illegally staying in Delhi, officials identified 11 Nigerians who were residing in Dwarka without a valid visa and put them in a detention centre. The Foreign Regional Registration Office has ordered them to be deported.
Delhi Police, on Wednesday, August 17, identified 11 foreign nationals who were staying in Delhi illegally and sent them to detention centres to await deportation.
Continuing to crack down on foreign nationals illegally staying in Dwarka, teams of the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) and the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) swung into action to nab the illegal residents who were roaming in the area.
The teams succeeded in apprehending the eleven foreign nationals. They were found overstaying in India without a valid visa. All the detained foreign individuals had arrived from Nigeria and were between 29-49 years of age.
They were produced before the Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO), which ordered their deportation. Accordingly, they have been sent to a detention centre to await deportation.
