
11 new COVID-19 cases in London area Friday, no deaths

The Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) is reporting 11 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths on Friday.
There are currently 131 known active cases in Middlesex-London, according to the health unit, down from a high of 204 on Sept. 23.
The seven-day rolling average of daily cases continues a downward trend to 12.
The latest case count comes after 438 people were tested for the virus at the Carling Heights assessment centre on Monday. Testing over the weekend resulted in a positive occurrence rate of 1.8 per cent.
Of the most recent cases reported this week, the majority was split between people in the age range of 25 to 39 and 40 to 64.
London Health Sciences Centre is currently caring for nine patients with COVID-19, including five or fewer patients in critical care.
There are no staff members who have recently tested positive for the virus.
