1% of Indians living abroad, over 4,000 foreigners granted Indian citizenship from 2016 to 2020: Govt

Data released by the central government has revealed that at least 1 per cent of all Indians live in foreign countries.
Nearly 1 per cent of India's population lives in foreign countries, according to data released by the Government of India. The data, which was part of the Centre's reply in the Lok Sabha, suggests that over 1.33 crore Indians are living abroad at present.
The data was tabled by Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai in response to a question in the Lower House of Parliament.
