The police in Maharashtra's Thane area detained three people after they found 1,000 gelatin sticks and detonators in a car.
The police in Maharashtra's Thane area intercepted a vehicle carrying 1,000 gelatin sticks and the same number of detonators on late Tuesday evening. Three people were taken into custody by the police.
According to the police, a Maruti Eco car was intercepted at Nadi Naka area under Nizampura police station in Bhiwandi.
The police are investigating where the explosives and detonator were being taken.
Three people named Alpesh Patil, Pankaj Chavan and Sameer Vedga have been detained by the police. They are being questioned.
Further investigation is underway.
On February 25 last year, gelatin sticks were found in a car outside businessman Mukesh Ambani's residence in Mumbai.
