पैगंबर मोहम्मद पर टिप्पणी: विभिन्न राज्यों में प्रदर्शन, कई शहरों में हिंसा, पथराव-आगज़नी

भाजपा से निलंबित किए गए नूपुर शर्मा और नवीन जिंदल द्वारा पैगंबर मोहम्मद के बारे में कथित विवादास्पद टिप्पणी के ख़िलाफ़ देश के विभिन्न शहरों में प्रदर्शन हुए. दिल्ली की जामा मस्जिद में शर्मा की गिरफ़्तारी की मांग को लेकर प्रदर्शन हुए. उत्तर प्रदेश के इलाहाबाद और झारखंड की राजधानी रांची में हुए विरोध के दौरान हिंसा और आगज़नी भी हुई. 

दिल्ली के जामा मस्जिद परिसर में बड़ी संख्या में लोग एकत्र हुए जिनमें से कुछ ने तख्तियां ले रखी थीं. प्रदर्शन करने वालों ने नारेबाजी की. There was no call for protest from the Masjid committee.
