Former India opener Aakash Chopra believes that the upcoming Test series against New Zealand is going to be extremely important for Ajinkya Rahane who is “on thin ice” despite being named captain for the first match. Chopra said that Rahane's main problem is his consistency throughout his career. Good Morning Kanpur We cannot wait for the 1st Test to start. Notably, Rahane will be leading the Indian team in the first Test of the series in Kanpur, with Virat Kohli returning for the second Test. Rahane has played 40 Tests and scored 7 half-centuries and 3 tons since 2019. Earlier this year, he led India to a historic series win Down Under but failed to impress on the batting front.
