The ruling YSRCP on Monday took a dig at former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over his sit-in protest at the Tirupati airport earlier today, terming it as a "mere PR stunt". Chandrababu Naidu staged protest at the airport after police denied him permission to hold a meeting in Chittoor and asked him to return to Hyderabad. Naidu was sent back in the evening. "He knew that permission was not being given due to Covid-19 restrictions. The dharna can potentially cause inconvenience to citizens and the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) is in place due to the municipal polls. Despite that, he decided to travel. This is only to run propaganda against the government using certain media outlets controlled by him. Why would he travel, knowing that the permission won't be given? This shows that it was merely a PR stunt," said state minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy.More Related News
