Yamuna water rises above 'warning' mark, extensive waterlogging, traffic congestion in Delhi

The Delhi flood control room reported a discharge rate of around 15,000 cusecs from the Hathnikund Barrage in Haryana's Yamunanagar district at 3 pm.
New Delhi: The Delhi administration has expedited efforts to evacuate people living along the Yamuna bank as the water level of the Yamuna river crossed the danger mark due to heavy rains. In the midst of the monsoon season, the national capital has been receiving spells of rain for the last few days which led to waterlogging in many areas of Delhi. The administration has been keeping a close watch on the situation as more rains are expected in the region in the next three to four days. The water level was recorded at 204.87 metres at the Old Railway Bridge at 3 pm. It was 205.30 metres at 8 pm on Sunday, according to the flood control room.More Related News
