AR Rahman hosted daughter Khatija Rahman’s wedding reception in Chennai on Friday. Khatija Rahman got married to audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed in May this year. On June 10, the music maestro hosted a reception for his daughter which was attended by his industry friends and colleagues. Celebrities including Manisha Koirala, filmmakers Mani Ratnam, Shekhar Kapur, and singers Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Javed Ali, Abdu Rozik and musicians Shivamani, Jatin Pandit attended the function.
While there have been several pictures that have emerged on social media, there is a particular video from the reception party which has grabbed the netizens’ attention. Abdu Rozik, who etched his name in record books as the world's smallest singer, sang for AR Rahman at the reception. The 18-year-old musician sang the song Papa Kehte Hain. AR Rahman looks mighty impressed with his singing skills. The video was uploaded by Abdu Rozik on Instagram.
