Former India opener Virender Sehwag got nostalgic on Monday as he remembered the day he created history by becoming the first player from the country to score 300 runs in an innings in Test cricket on March 29, 2004.
Former India opener Virender Sehwag on Monday recalled his two triple centuries which were hit four years apart against two different opponents on this very date i.e March 29. Sehwag took to social media to say that 29th March has been a special date for him as he had the honour of becoming the first Indian to score a triple hundred in Test cricket on the same date in 2004 against Pakistan. "29th March- a special date for me. Had the privilege and honour of becoming the first Indian to score a triple hundred in Test cricket. The icing on the cake was to score against Pakistan in Multan.
