Virat Kohli on cricket scheduling during Covid-19 era: Playing in bio-bubbles for so long going to be difficult
India Today
India captain Virat Kohli opened up on the challenges of life in a bio-bubble during the coronavirus pandemic, saying confining players to 'bubbles' for months on the trot is not sustainable.
India captain Virat Kohli raised his concerns regarding the scheduling of the matches while pointing out that the cricketers are finding it difficult to adapt after months of bio-secure "bubble" life during the coronavirus pandemic. Kohli said that the game has to consider scheduling changes to reduce the mental toll tours that are taking during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kohli's comments come as cricketers are ready to join their respective franchises for the IPL bubble, with the eight-team T20 tournament to be played from April 9-May 30. India will then travel to England for the World Test Championship final against New Zealand from June 18-22 in Southampton before their five-test series against England starts from Aug. 4. "Scheduling needs to be looked at in future, because playing in 'bubbles' for so long, two to three months, is going to be very, very difficult going forward," Kohli said.More Related News
