The violence that erupted over PM Narendra Modi's visit to Bangladesh was orchestrated to embarrass the Sheikh Hasina government, sources told India Today.
Violence was perpetrated during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Bangladesh. This was done to embarrass the government of PM Sheikh Hasina who has taken a stern stand against radicalisation, highly-placed sources in Bangladesh told India Today. India and Bangladesh signed MoUs in key sectors such as disaster management, sports and youth affairs, trade, technology and more. These will add strength to our development partnership and benefit the people of our nations, especially the youth. Both India and Bangladesh have hailed PM Modi's two-day visit to Dhaka as a boost for bilateral ties. The Prime Minister also handed over a million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to his Bangladeshi counterpart. At least a dozen people suffered injuries during clashes between police and demonstrators in Bangladesh following PM Narendra Modi's visit. Reports indicate that 10 protesters were killed in the demonstrations organised by Islamist groups.More Related News
