Two interstate drug peddlers, including a 29-year-old woman, native of Delhi, and a Mumbai man have been arrested by the Anjuna Police and MDMA worth Rs 10,20,000 has been seized from the accused's possession.
Anjuna Police arrested two interstate drug peddlers including a 29-year-old woman, native of Delhi, and recovered MDMA worth Rs 10,20,000 from the accused's possession.
According to a press release, on April 19, police conducted a narcotics raid at Anjuna village and arrested one of the accused, identified as Kurban Salar Shaikh (25), a resident of Mumbai's Borivali and seized MDMA worth Rs 3,20,000 from his possession.
During interrogation, Kurban disclosed that a woman from Delhi had supplied him with the said MDMA.
Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid and the woman was arrested from Siolim and MDMA worth Rs 7 lakh was seized from her possession.
Both the accused are remanded in police custody for six days.
