TDP leader Alapati Rajendra Prasad confident about victory in Legislative Council elections, thanks supporters for their efforts.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Alapati Rajendra Prasad, a key contestant in the elections to Krishna-Guntur graduates constituency of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, sounded confident about his victory, adding that it would be a vote for development and good governance.
Addressing the media at the TDP central office near Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Thursday, Mr. Prasad said he expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao and BJP State president Daggubati Purandeswari for their support.
He thanked MLCs Bhumireddy Ramgopal Reddy, K. Srikanth and P. Ashok Babu and MLAs, Ministers, Zilla Parishad chairpersons and TDP District presidents in 33 Assembly constituencies for their efforts towards victory.
The NDA leaders and cadres have worked hard for over six months, he said, adding that he was happy about a high voter turnout of nearly 68%.
