The governor has suggested that students should sign an anti-dowry bond before college admissions to put a halt to this outdated practice.
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, in an effort to stop the outdated practice from growing, has suggested that before college admissions, the students should sign a bond against dowry, similar to the anti-ragging bond which colleges have signed. Days after a series of dowry deaths rocked Kerala and led to a heated debate against the menace, Governor Khan had on July 14 observed a fast to create social awareness against social evil and end atrocities against women.More Related News
