
Shivarajkumar opens up on returning to work with Ram Charan’s ‘RC 16’ after cancer treatment

Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar has returned from the US after undergoing an operation, to shoot upcoming projects, including the untitled film with Telugu star Ram Charan
Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar, who returned to Bengaluru from the US after undergoing a surgery, is set to shoot for his upcoming projects.
Shivarajkumar was in the US to remove a cancerous bladder and undergo treatment. The veteran star has a slew of projects lined up. During an interview with the Masth Magaa YouTube channel, Shivarajkumar opened up on his recovery process.
The actor, who underwent an operation at the Miami Cancer Institute in Florida, returned to Bengaluru in January 2025, after recuperating in Miami for a month. The actor has confessed that he isn’t 100 per cent ready, but is planning a steady comeback to films.
Shivarajkumar is set to shoot for his untitled Kannada film with Kartik Adwaith on March 02, 2025. The film is reported to have Naveen Shankar and Achyuth Kumar in important roles.
Shivarajkumar said after completing the schedule, he will move on to Ram Charan’s tentatively-titled RC 16, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Shivarajkumar is likely to travel to Hyderabad on March 05, 2025, to shoot for the Telugu movie. Touted to be a sports drama, the movie also has Jahnvi Kapoor in the lead role.

45, music composer Arjun Janya’s directorial debut, will be Shivarajkumar’s first release post his surgery. Also starring Upendra and Raj B Shetty, the Kannada movie will hit the screens on August 15, 2025. Shivarajkumar had finished dubbing for the movie before heading to the US for his surgery. Other projects lined up for the actor are Hemanth M Rao’s Bhairavana Kone Pata, Srini’s A for Anand and an untitled project with Pawan Wadeyar.
