Shakti Kapoor’s son, Siddhanth Kapoor, has reportedly been detained in Bengaluru in a drug case. While more details about the same are awaited, IndiaToday.in reached out to Shakti Kapoor for an update.
Reacting to the, Shakti Kapoor told IndiaToday.in exclusively, “I got to know about this news from India Today. I don’t have any idea. I don’t know anything about this. When I got up at 9 am, news was coming that he had been detained. I have no idea. The whole family is trying to get in touch. No one is picking up the call. I don’t know what is happening.”
The police received a tip-off and raised a hotel on MG Road in Bengaluru. Out of the 35 samples that were sent for testing, six turned positive. Siddhanth Kapoor's sample was one among them. The police said that they cannot conclude if the six people consumed drugs and came to the party or if they consumed them at the hotel.
Siddhanth Kapoor was seen in movies like Haseena Parker and Chehre, among others. He is Shraddha Kapoor’s brother. Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was also called in for inquiry by the Narcotics Central Bureau (NCB) in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput's drug case. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was detained in a similar case. Although, the NCB gave him a clean chit just last week.
