Satish Shah shared a picture of himself posing with the national flag. He claimed that the flag was from 1942. However, the internet was not convinced.
Ahead of India’s 75th Independence Day, actor Satish Shah took to Twitter to share a picture of himself posing with the national flag. The flag he flaunted in the photo was the one his mother had ‘got during the Quit India Movement in 1942’. However, the internet was not convinced with Shah’s details about the flag and pointed out a grievous discrepancy. Netizens pointed out the flag did not exist in this form in 1942.
The 71-year-old actor shared a picture on Twitter where he can be seen showing off the tricolour flag. “The very same TIRANGA DHWAJ my mother had got during Quit India Movement 1942,” he wrote.

However, the internet fact-checked the actor and mentioned that the national flag did not exist in this form in 1942. “Who will tell him, this flag didn't exist, in this form, in 1942?” a user wrote.
