Randeep Surjewala's slip of tongue, confuses Goddess Sita with Draupadi | Viral video

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala confused Goddess Sita with Draupadi, during a press conference ahead of Rajya Sabha polls.
Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala had a slip of tongue moment when he wrongly attributed 'cheer haran' or Draupadi's disrobing in Mahabharat to Goddess Sita.
Surjewala's 'cheer haran' remark came when he was criticising the Centre for discrediting democratic institutions and probe agencies such as ED, CBI and Income Tax. The senior leader claimed that the Centre is eroding the significance of all such institutions.

"BJP lost badly in the previous elections. Truth, democracy, law, and morals will win. BJP wants to do cheer haran of democracy, just like cheer haran of Goddess Sita. But they will lose [in Rajya Sabha polls] and their masks will fall off," Surjewala said during a press conference ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls.
He was actually referring to Draupadi, who was disrobed in front of five Pandavs and the entire sabha, in king Dhritrashtra's court.
