Annamalai is a commercial entertainer which has screenplay written by Suresh Krissna and Shanmugasundaran. The film is a remake of 1987 Hindi film, Khudgarz, which is based on Jefferey Archer's novel Kane and Abel. Annamalai features Rajinikanth, Khushbu and Sarath Babu in lead roles.
