QNL President, Turkish Culture Minister discuss cooperation in field of libraries

Doha - Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library (QNL) HE Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari met Sunday with Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey HE Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and the accompanying delegation, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between Qatar National Library (QNL) and libraries in Turkey. On this occasion, HE the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism gifted a collection of Turkish literature, whether written in Turkish or translated from it, to QNL.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sideline of the meeting, Minister of State and President of QNL HE Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari said that QNL, despite its recent establishment, has become known globally for its culturally distinguished role, praising the keenness of the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism to enhance the cultural aspects between the two countries, especially in the field of libraries. He pointed to the distinction of Qatari-Turkish relations in the fields of politics and economy, in addition to culture that goes in parallel line with politics and economics.
