Producer JD Majethia says TV and film industry people are like frontline workers

In a conversation with Aajtak.com, JD Majethia said that people from the entertainment industry are just like frontline workers. He also mentioned creating a bio-bubble for TV shootings.
With the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic gripping the country, the entertainment industry is going through a hard time. Several shootings have been halted after crew members and actors tested Covid-positive in huge numbers. Recently, Dance Deewane 3 also had 18 crew members test positive for Covid-19. Several actors from the show Anupamaa have also tested positive. The shooting of the comedy show Waghle Ki Duniya has also been put on halt for now after some crew members and actors tested Covid positive. In an exclusive conversation with Aajtak.com, producer JD Majethia said that it will be difficult if the shooting is further stopped due to the lockdown. JD Majethia said, “We have been working really hard for the past one year. When we felt that life was finally settling, there was a sudden spike in coronavirus cases. It is very dangerous. However, I don’t think that shootings should be stopped due to the lockdown because people from film industry also come under essential service. We are also frontline workers because we provide entertainment to people sitting inside their homes. People are under stress and not everyone can afford OTT. They get free entertainment from television, and we provide that.”More Related News
