The ED has opposed the cancellation of their warrants as both are still abroad and yet to confirm a date for arriving in Mumbai to record their statements.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has opposed the cancellation of warrants sought by fugitive diamantaire Nirav Modi's sister Purvi Modi and his brother-in-law Maiank Mehta in court. The duo had recently agreed to become approvers in the PNB loan fraud case. The two individuals had been declared absconding and warrants were issued against them in June 2018.
