PM Modi arrived at the G7 summit, where he was welcomed by German chancellor Olaf Scholz. The Group of Seven rich democracies will commit to a new package of coordinated actions meant to raise pressure on Russia over its war in Ukraine, and will finalise plans for a price cap on Russian oil, a senior US official said on Monday.
On Sunday, PM Modi held a productive meeting with Argentinian President Alberto Fernandez here on the sidelines of the G7 summit and reviewed the full range of bilateral ties. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed various issues like trade and investment, defence cooperation, agriculture, climate action and food security.
This was the first bilateral meeting between the two leaders.
