PM Modi addressed ‘empty seats’ at UN General Assembly: Congress, TMC
India Today
The Congress party and TMC MP Jawhar Sircar took to Twitter to say that PM Narendra Modi addressed "empty seats" at the UN General Assembly during his three-day visit to the US.
During his three-day visit to the US last week, PM Narendra Modi addressed the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. In his 22-minute long address, the Prime Minister spoke on a number of key issues, including the production of Covid-19 vaccines in India and the global fight against extremism.
Citing the video of his address, the Congress on Monday said in a tweet that many seats were visibly empty at the UNGA during PM Modi's speech. The Opposition party went on to claim that "no one even clapped".
