One killed, 5 injured including Sweet 16 partygoers in overnight NYC shootings

One person was killed and six others hurt in separate shootings across the Big Apple overnight.

The deadly gunfire erupted in the Bronx around 3:15 a.m. Saturday when a 28-year-old was shot six times in the back by an unknown assailant at 3240 Third Avenue, near East 163rd Street. The victim was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital shortly after 7 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said. Investigators recovered three shell casings at the scene, police sources said.
