Dr. Francis Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health, on Wednesday delivered a stark message for people who are holding out on receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. “This virus is looking for you,” Collins, the director of the NIH since 2009, said on MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes.” Coronavirus infections are again rising nationwide with the spread of the highly transmissible delta variant, but 99.5% of deaths from COVID-19 in the United States are now among the unvaccinated.
