The Organising Committee for hosting ‘Doha Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021’ launched four Qatari postage stamps inspired by Qatari Islamic cultural landmarks.
This Committee launched these stamps during the Arab Postal Stamp Museum opening ceremony, held in the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Culture and Sports, H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, said, “Postage stamps are part of our national identity, and reflect historical events, values, traditions, or cultural events that distinguish peoples from each other. They generally allow us to identify the private civilization of any country and present an image of its richness.”More Related News
