Nearly 50% Covid patients develop additional health complications: Lancet study
India Today
A study published in Lancet has claimed that nearly 50 per cent of Covid-19 patients develop one or more health complications.
One in two people hospitalized with Covid-19 develop an additional health complication, a study conducted among 73,197 adult patients in the UK has shown. The study, published in Lancet, showed that among those admitted to hospital with Covid-19, a high proportion (49.7 per cent) had at least one complication. “The occurrence of complications was not only associated with a higher risk of mortality during hospitalisation, but also reduced the ability of patients to self-care once discharged,” states the study published in Lancet.More Related News
