Celebrities including Karishma Tanna, Mouni Roy and even Katrina Kaif swore by the cutesy charm of floral jewellery and rocked them for their haldi ceremonies.
Floral jewellery has become a wedding wardrobe essential for brides. Celebrities including Karishma Tanna, Mouni Roy and even Katrina Kaif also swore by the cutesy charm of floral jewels and rocked them for their haldi ceremonies. While Katrina and Karishma wore real floral jewellery strewn with Tagar Kalis, Mouni opted for a faux-floral jewellery ensemble from Delhi-based label Prune. In an interesting coincidence, all three actresses wore white ensembles for their respective haldi ceremonies. More on that here.
Ceremonies like haldi and mehendi demand the brides to be at their comfortable best. Light-weight and dainty floral jewels ensure the same. And not to forget, how these dainty blooms, when bunched together as jewellery pieces, instantly amp up a bride’s look. Floral jewellery might have been in the bridal fashion scene for quite a long time now, but it is definitely here to stay.
IndiaToday.in exclusively spoke to Leesha Arora of Prune, and Srishti of Floral Art & Design Studio - labels behind the exquisite floral jewels worn by Mouni, Karishma and Katrina - and fetched out some exclusive details. The designers also shared some floral jewellery styling tips for the brides-to-be.
THE FLORAL JEWELLERY DESIGNS
Katrina Kaif wore a white Sabyasachi lehenga for her haldi ceremony. The actress accessorised her look with all-white floral jewels designed by Floral Art & Design Studio. She wore a pair of tagar kali flower earrings with sahara strings. She also rocked a simple ring, bangles and kaleeras made of dry flowers. The jewellery set that Katrina wore during her haldi ceremony costs Rs 15,000 approximately.
Karishma Tanna, who recently got married to beau Varun Bangera in Mumbai, also matched her white sharara set with tagar kali floral jewellery from the same label. She wanted to keep her look minimal and delicate with fresh floral jewellery. Just like Katrina, she also wanted to rock an all-white look. She wore a pair of jhumkas, a mathapatti with sahara string and hath phools with kaleeras to complete her haldi look. When asked about the price of her jewellery ensemble, Srishti revealed that it also costs Rs 15,000.
Mouni Roy, on the other hand, opted for faux floral jewellery. Spilling the beans about her jewellery, Leesha Arora said, “The floral jewellery worn by Mouni Roy was ordered through Anuradha Khurana, Mouni's stylist and bridesmaid. They were very clear on white-on-white and had already chosen the design from our Instagram handle.”
