MME honours workers to mark International Workers’ Day

Doha: On the International Workers’ Day, which is observed on the first of May, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment honored a number of general cleanness and park workers in collaboration with Ooredoo Qatar for their efforts and activism in a number of events held by the state.

Abdullah Mohammed Al Falasi, Director of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry; Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, Director of Public Relations at Ooredoo Qatar; Ali Hasan Al Mutawa, from the events team at Ooredoo; and Mohammed Faraj Al Kubaisi, Assistant Director of the General Cleaning Department at the Ministry attended the ceremony. Those in attendance acknowledged the vital and ongoing role played by the workers in their respective sections, departments, and municipalities affiliated with the Ministry especially in light of the pandemic which entails increased cleaning, sanitisation, and disinfection efforts in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
