Masoom actor Boman Irani has shared a message for young actors. The senior actor said that young actors shouldn't let the perks of the job get to them.
Senior actor Boman Irani has made his OTT debut with the web series Masoom. In the web show, the actor stars alongside Upasana Singh and Samara Tijori. A few days before the release of Masoom (June 17), IndiaToday.in exclusively interacted with Boman Irani. In a conversation with us, the actor spoke about his experience working with Deepak Tijori's daughter Samara. While speaking about it, Boman Irani also shared a message for the young actors.
When Boman Irani was asked about his experience working with Samara, the actor said, "I like to be with young people and understand the work. And then Samara walks in one day and she comes and gives me a tight hug. I had just been with her dad (Deepak Tijori) to Tashkent on the flight. I didn't know she was cast for the web series. Only when we came back, I got to know about it. When she met me, she came in as a hungry actor. She came in prepared and she adjusted her preparations and took some time. Initially, I would ask for permission like 'May I ask you something?'. It was from an actor to an actor and not from a senior actor to a new person on the set. The moment a person is hungry and willing to learn, I have great respect."
The actor further mentioned that he likes people who have fire within themselves and doesn't like boring people. "She has that fire. She is willing to learn and is respectful. She is not sitting on some high horse and thinks that now I have arrived," he added.
Boman also shared a message for the young actors. He said, "1 and a half days ka shooting hota hain and the perks of the job become more important than the job itself. That is the biggest message which I can give to any young actor. Don't let the perks of the job (get to you). All that will come and go. What will remain is what is on the screen. Don't compromise with that and relationships are very important off screen."
After the release of Masoom, Boman Irani will be next seen in Unnchai. He will be seen in the film with Amitabh Bachchan, Danny Denzongpa and Anupam Kher. The actor's last theatrical release was Jayesbhai Jordaar, co-starring Ranveer Singh and Ratna Pathak Shah. Unfortunately, the film did not work at the box office.
