Maharashtra may soon follow Tamil Nadu in scrapping NEET for medical college admissions in the state

The Maharashtra government is planning to follow Tamil Nadu in the NEET issue. A review meeting has been planned to discuss scrapping NEET as the requisite for admission into state medical and dental colleges.
After Tamil Nadu, the Maharashtra government is now planning to scrap NEET in the test as the compulsory medical entrance exam for students to get a seat in private or government medical colleges.
The government of Maharashtra will hold a review meeting later this week regarding the scrapping of the medical entrance exam.
