Madhya Pradesh | Minor rape survivor held for strangling her 40-day-old baby

A 15-year-old rape survivor was taken into police custody after doctors found that she had strangled her 40-day-old. She said that she felt humiliated.

A minor girl from Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh district, who is a rape survivor, has been taken into police custody for allegedly killing her 40-day-old baby, police said on Thursday.

The 15-year-old girl was distressed over the birth of the child after she had been raped. She felt humiliated, which led her to take the step, said Ashok Chaurasiya, sub-divisional officer of police, Tendukheda, Damoh.
