The verdict on actor Dileep's anticipatory bail plea is expected on Monday.
The Kerala High Court is expected to give verdict on actor Dileep's anticipatory bail plea on Monday. Dileep is seeking anticipatory bail in a case against him for conspiring to kill officer investigating the actor assault case.
Actor Dileep is the eighth accused in the actor assault case.
The prosecution argued that Dileep's history and his involvement in the conspiracy of actor assault case should be taken into consideration before granting him bail. Dileep, the prosecution argued, gave quotation to rape his own colleague. There are strong evidences against him in that case too.
The prosecution challenged the defence arguments that the whole case of conspiracy to kill the investigation officers itself is a conspiracy from actor assault case investigator Baiju Poulose and Director Balachandrakumar who came out with key revelations and audio clips.
The prosecution also corrected the defence arguments saying that the case was not initiated by the crime branch on their own. Instead, the case was filed under the ADGP's order, it said.
Baiju Poulose is not part of the new case investigation. They also tried to establish that there are no contradictions in Director Balachandrakumar's statements. The prosecutor pointed out that 41 points stand unchanged in both statements made by Director Balachandrakumar. This is a unique case where there is a witness for conspiracy and that more proof can be collected with the actor and the other accused in the case in custody and therefore the anticipatory bail shouldn't be granted, the prosecution argued.
