Amidst rising pressure on the Kerala BJP over the involvement of some leaders in the black money loot case, the party's national leadership on Monday stepped in and decided to form an independent enquiry committee to probe into the allegations. The decision came a day after the Kerala BJP core committee met in Kochi. According to sources, the committee will comprise veteran civil servants who are part of the BJP in Kerala. "Discussions have already begun within the party in this regard. This is certainly an important issue that was raised in the core committee as well and there will be an internal enquiry regarding this", said a senior leader of the party. The party decision came days after BJP state President K Surendran's secretary and driver were questioned by the SIT (special investigation team) that is probing the case. The investigating team also suggested the possibility of summoning K Surendran's son, Harikrishnan, over alleged phone conversations with Dharmarajan, a key person involved in the case.More Related News
