While a social media user said that army aspirants participating in a recruitment rally were forced to sleep on the road in Karnataka's Udupi, the local authorities said that the claim was a malicious campaign as the aspirants were provided accommodation but they chose to sleep on the road.
The sight of army aspirants sleeping on the road can disturb anyone. But when one social media user in Karnataka’s Udupi flagged this concern, the authorities termed it malicious propaganda. Aspirants from various parts of Karnataka are currently camping in Udupi to take part in an ongoing army recruitment rally. It is said that the rally begins at 4 AM every day and involves various physical as well as medical tests that the candidates have to go through. The recruitment rally will go on till March 29. While these candidates have access to a local eatery for food, there seem to be limited facilities for a good night’s rest as most of the candidates are forced to sleep on the public roads.More Related News
