Joe Root hails ‘underappreciated’ Moeen Ali after Test retirement: He has been a wonderful role model

England captain Joe Root heaped rich praise on Moeen Ali, saying the English all-rounder has been a great role model and leaves a legacy after having done fabulous things in Test cricket for England.
England's Test captain Joe Root said that Moeen Ali will be remembered as a "wonderful role model" while adding that the star allrounder didn't get the credit he deserved outside the team. Moeen, who made his Test debut in 2014, scored 2,914 runs in 64 Tests at an average of 28.29 and picked up 195 wickets with his off-spin.
Root further described Moeen Ali’s retirement from Test cricket as a “huge loss” to England and pointed out how Ali remains one of the great guys he has shared the dressing room with.
