The makers of Annaatthe, on Tuesday, announced that Jagapathi Babu has been roped in to play an important role. The film is directed by Siruthai Siva.
Jagapathi Babu is all set to share screen space with Rajinikanth again. The actor, who had earlier worked with Rajini in Lingaa, has been roped in to play a crucial role in Annaatthe. The film's shoot was stalled in December 2020 after eight crew members tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Annaatthe, directed by Siruthai Siva, has been in the making since 2019. They were supposed to wrap up the shoot in April 2020. On Tuesday (March 16) evening, the makers announced that actor Jagapathi Babu has joined the cast. Their official post read, ".@IamJagguBhai joins the cast of #Annaatthe. @rajinikanth @directorsiva @immancomposer #Nayanthara @KeerthyOfficial (sic)." Major portions involving Rajinikanth and Jagapathi Babu will be shot in Chennai.
