Ireland vs India, 1st T20I Weather Forecast: Hardik Pandya's debut as India T20I captain may get hampered as rain may play a spoilsport in the opening match at Dublin.
India will test their bench strength under the leadership of Hardik Pandya when they take on Ireland in the first T20I at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin on Sunday (June 26). However, Pandya's debut as India T20I captain may get hampered by the inclement weather.
According to AccuWeather, the opening T20I in Dublin may get disrupted due to rain, which is expected in the late afternoon and again in the evening. The humidity is predicted to range from 66 percent to 79 percent during the playing hours. A cloud cover is expected to be from 86 percent to 92 percent in the evening.
India's last visit to Ireland was in 2018, when the Men in Blue clean swept the two-match T20Is under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. The first T20I during the previous trip marked India's 100th T20I and in the second game, India registered their biggest winning margin in terms of runs (143 runs).
The tour was memorable for both Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal, as Pandya dazzled with a nine-ball 32 not out and Chahal took 6 wickets in two matches. The 2022 series, however, will not have the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as the senior team is preparing for the rescheduled fifth Test against England in Leicester.
