Ben Stokes got out for a duck in Rajasthan Royals' opening match against Punjab Kings in Mumbai on Monday. Stokes, one of the leading all-rounders in world cricket, was expected to play a pivotal role for RR in the 14th edition of the IPL. Ben Stokes had injured himself on the field when he ran in from long-on to put a forward dive to attempt to catch Chris Gayle. Stokes had his finger plastered after the fall but he batted despite the injury.
