IndiGo, BOC Aviation sign purchase-leaseback pact for 8 A320neo planes

BOC Aviation has signed a purchase-and-leaseback agreement with IndiGo for the new Airbus A324NEO aircraft. IndiGO said the new planes will be powered by CFM Leap engines. The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2021. 

After a tough year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the aviation sector is expanding operations with an aim to recover in 2021. As part of its move to increase operations, low-cost domestic carrier IndiGo has signed a deal with BOC Aviation Limited. BOC Aviation has signed a purchase-and-leaseback agreement with IndiGo for eight new Airbus A320neo planes. IndiGO said the new planes will be powered by CFM Leap engines. The planes are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2021.
