India vs South Africa, Predicted Playing XI: After winning the third T20I, India would look to force a decider in the five-match series against South Africa in Rajkot.
India will eye a series-leveling win on Friday when they take on South Africa in the penultimate match of the T20I series at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
While hoping to win the match, India would want captain Rishabh Pant and top-order batter Shreyas Iyer to get some big runs. Pant provided for some thrilling shots in Delhi but a pattern has emerged from his dismissals: -- getting out thrice to balls wide of off-stump and giving catches to fielders in deep on the off-side. With the Proteas bowlers bowling away from his favoured hitting arc, Pant had to find solutions and get back to his best.
Iyer has been tested with short-pitched deliveries in all matches and endured a slowdown against facing fast bowlers. But he has been fantastic in dancing down the pitch and smacking Tabraiz Shamsi for sixes. Iyer would be itching to make a change in his playing script on a big ground like Rajkot.
With the ball, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel rose to the occasion while Bhuvneshwar Kumar continued his tidy show and Axar Patel supported well. In the pace department, the seasoned Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been remarkably consistent. Avesh Khan has not gone for a lot of runs but is yet to take a wicket in the series. India may look to hand his debut to Arshdeep Singh, whose ability to vary his pace, accuracy with yorkers, and left-arm-angle could be advantageous for the bowling unit.
India's predicted playing XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (c, wk), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal
South Africa's predicted playing XI: Temba Bavuma (c), Quinton de Kock, Dwaine Pretorius, Rassie van der Dussen, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), David Miller, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi
