Rohit Sharma tested positive for Covid-19 after a RAT conducted on June 25. He is currently in isolation at the team hotel and is under the care of the BCCI Medical Team. An RT-PCR test result is awaited to ascertain his CT value.
India captain Rohit Sharma, who tested positive for Covid-19, gave his fans a sigh of relief, sharing a selfie from the hotel room.
Rohit returned with a positive report after a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on June 25. He is currently in isolation at the team hotel and is under the care of the BCCI Medical Team, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement.
An RT-PCR test result is awaited to ascertain Rohit's CT value.
The Indian cricketing board on June 27 added Mayank Agarwal to the squad as cover for Rohit. Mayank will link up with the squad in Birmingham.
India and England are set to play the rescheduled fifth Test from July 1 in Birmingham. India are currently leading the five-Test match series against England 2-1.
