India logs over 41,000 new Covid infections, 593 deaths in a day

India saw a single-day rise of 41,649 coronavirus infections on Saturday morning, taking the total tally of Covid cases to 3,16,13,993, while the active cases registered an increase of around 3,000 cases.

India recorded 41,649 cases of Covid-19 and around 600 coronavirus-related deaths in 24 hours, ending Saturday morning. According to updated data from the Union Health Ministry, the top five states which registered maximum cases are Kerala with 20,772 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 6,600 cases, Andhra Pradesh with 2,068 cases, Tamil Nadu with 1,947 cases and Karnataka with 1,890 cases.
