Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced free vaccines to all those above 18 years of age from June 21. The announcement was hailed by the Indian Medical Association as it would help in India’s fight against Covid-19 Thank PM @narendramodi Ji for acceding to our request of central procurement & distribution of vaccine for all age-groups. I had written twice to @narendramodi Ji on this issue and to @drharshvardhan Ji suggesting this as the only feasible solution to #CovidVaccine crisis. .. #PMModi forced to withdraw faulty vaccine policy in light of criticism from Supreme Court & push back from States. The demand for Free Vaccines had to be finally accepted. But in time of vaccine shortage totally wrong to give 25% to private hospitals - CPIM opposes this. @narendramodi @narendramodi In his virtual address to the nation, PM Modi said that the Central government has decided to procure Covid-19 vaccines for everyone aged 18-44 and supply them to states free of cost. "No state government will have to spend anything on vaccines. Everyone aged 45 and above was getting free vaccines and now, those aged 18 will also get free vaccines," he said.More Related News
