Saturday Art Class has helped students from lower-income families leave their troubles away through the medium of art.
As the Covid-19 pandemic hit, many students, especially those from low-income families, found themselves unable to cope with the uncertainty of their future during the lockdown. This is where Saturday Art Class came into the picture to help these students embrace their artistic sides to cope with the stress. Saturday Art Class is a non-profit social organization operating in the education sector. It is a school-based intervention working towards socially and emotionally empowering children from low-income communities; by taking them through a process of creative exploration and expression as a means to facilitate Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) integrated with art. The main approach this venture follows is to inculcate social-emotional learning into schools and organisations that serve children from low-income backgrounds and create safe spaces for expression by engaging children in a process of creative exploration through art.More Related News
