How Bharat Bandh called by protesting farmers fared in Punjab, Haryana

The call for Bharat Bandh issued by farmers protesting against Centre's three new farm laws was largely successful in parts of Punjab and Haryana.
Farmers protesting against the central government's three new farm laws called for Bharat Bandh between 6 am and 4 pm on Monday. The call was issued by Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), the farmers' union comprising nearly 40 outfits spearheading the ongoing agitation.
While the Bharat Bandh was observed in different parts of the country by various farmers' outfits, it was largely successful in the states of Punjab and Haryana.
